Description
The tour starts with a visit to the famous century-old Royal Palace of Phnom Penh. The palace is situated near two beautiful rivers Tonle Sap and Mekong. Learn about the Khmer Empire, its kings, and its historical significance from the guide. After touring this Khmer architectural wonder we'll head to Silver Pagoda which is right next door. Its thousands of silver tile flooring, emerald Buddha statue, and Angkor Wat Bell Tower are spectacular views.
Next, we'll go to Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum also known as S-21 in the past. The museum illustrates the dark past of mass killings in Cambodia's history. It's a memorial for thousands who lost their lives. Learn about the Khmer Rouge and the genocides that happened during the tour. Following the museum, you'll be dropped at your hotel or maybe a riverside cafe of your choice.
