Explore the rich history and culture of Amritsar on a 3-day tour from
Delhi. Visit the Golden Temple, Saragarhi Memorial Gurudwara, and the
Wagah Border.
Begin your journey early by driving to Amritsar at 6:00 AM. Arrive in
Amritsar at 1:00 PM and settle into your hotel. Take some time to unwind
and have a leisurely lunch. At 4:30 PM, you will be picked up at your
accommodation and brought to the Wagah Border to see the historic
Retreat Ceremony. The bright and patriotic atmosphere at the border will
undoubtedly provide an unforgettable experience.
On day 2, begin your day by visiting Jallianwala Bagh and spending
approximately one hour learning about the tragic history of this site.
Next, visit the Golden Temple, where you can spend approximately 2 hours
admiring the spectacular architecture and tranquil surroundings.
Continue your journey with a visit to the Saragarhi Memorial Gurudwara,
and spend around 30 minutes learning about the great fight it
commemorates.
Then, travel to the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum, where you can spend
about an hour studying displays about the great ruler's life and
achievements. In the afternoon, spend approximately 45 minutes
appreciating the Durgiana Temple's stunning architecture and spiritual
aura. For lunch, eat at a local restaurant and have the famous Amritsari
lassi. Finish the day with some free time to explore or rest. Overnight
stay in Amritsar.
After breakfast, prepare for your return journey to Delhi. Depart from
Amritsar around 9:00 AM and reach your hotel in Delhi by 3:00 PM. Your
tour concludes with a drop-off at your hotel, marking the end of a
memorable trip.
