Visit the most sacred place of Sikhs in the world called the Golden Temple. Enjoy a visit to the Kitchen Section of the temple. Visit the India-Pakistan Wagah Border to witness the Beating Ceremony where policemen march to the beats of the drum.
Visit the Golden Temple, called the Darbar Sahib, at 10:00 AM. For Sikhs, this famous location serves as their cultural and spiritual hub. Until 11:30 AM, take some time to explore the temple complex, take in the breathtaking architecture, and take in the calm environment.
After that, take a short stroll to the adjacent Jallianwala Bagh and spend an hour or so there to learn about its significance in the Indian liberation movement.
Stop for lunch at one of Amritsar's well-known restaurants at 12:30 PM to sample some of the region's specialties, including Amritsari Kulcha, Chole, and Lassi. After lunch, Enjoy shopping at the neighborhood markets to find handicrafts, souvenirs, and traditional Punjabi clothing.
Visit the Durgiana Temple at 2:00 PM to spend an hour learning about this significant Hindu pilgrimage site, which is devoted to the goddess Durga.
Take some time to unwind and maybe have a tea break at a nearby café between 3:00 and 4:30 PM.
Lastly, get to the Wagah Border at 4:30 PM to see the well-known "Retreat" ritual, which features a march of Indian and Pakistani soldiers showcasing their ardor and patriotism. Following the ritual, which concludes at 7:30 PM, return to Amritsar and decide whether to go back to your lodging or eat dinner at a nearby restaurant.
